The Powers chapter 6: Trying to Hide Fire

        "How is Fire doing?" Space asked Shadow. Shadow closed her eyes for a second and asked him telepathically if he was okay.

        "He says he's fine" she replied

        "Well I hope"

        Dan walked through the long hallways of vires tenent. He was walking the same route he walked about everyday or at least everyday since he meet her. They both meet at the same place everyday the place where they first meet in the first place. He remembered bumping into her and then realizing who she was, funny how she apologized before him.

        That was a long time ago and they were still at it. Nether of them had missed a day. Down the hallway he saw her and she ran up a gave him a big hug.

        "Hi Molly! it's so great to see you!"

        "you too"

        "So. how have things been going today?"

        "really good, we know the Powers have already started their plan, and some of our representatives are going to go and kidnap Stephan Smith soon"

        "Wow really! I only just joined a month ago, and now already I have a girlfriend and some action is being done. This I gotta say is a dream come true."

        "Yeah...." She looked at the ground.

        "What's the matter?"

        "I'm leading them and i'll be gone for as long as it takes to kidnap him, that is unless anther Power turned up,.................................. or if I die."

        "Oh."

        Dan sat on the bed in the middle of his room, Molly had just left earlier that day and now he was all alone or at least it felt like that. There was still many people at vires tenent just not anyone he cared about. He hoped that maybe anther Power might be confirmed, he offend wondered how they even knew about the Powers in the first place.

        He thought back to the time when he first got him, his old friend was already a member of it and got him in this mess as well. That old friend of his had died in a mission trying to get Intel from one of their competitors.

        He walked out the door and was greeted by his sectors boss, she was wearing one of those stiff business sort of suites, she always wore that kind of stuff. She handed him a paper it said:

        Mission Objective: break into capta virtute headquarters and steal as many documents as possible.

        Dan starred at it, this was the mission that his friend had died on and countless others and probably soon him. He stepped back in his room he was suppose to get some documents or die trying by the end of the week. He grabbed a piece of scrap paper and wrote a letter to Molly in case he did not come back.

        After he finished he left the note in a envelope on the bed and left.

        He followed the map he was given to their base. He tried to sneak in and he got close to the secret entrance when he heard shouts from far away. He turned his head and realized this was it, at least he had written his letter.

        Dear Molly,

        I have to go to capta virtute for a Intel mission and as you know I most likely will not come back. I write this note to you to say good bye, I am about to go right now, wish me luck, wherever you are.

        Dan felt a sharp pain in his chest as the bullet hit and then everything went white. So this is it he thought as it felt like he was beginning to float. He soon saw something in this weird whiteness it was like a bright flash of fire, then a creature made out of fire appeared in front of him and said in his head Hi, you're dead and i'm fire.

        Fiona hurried her way to the tunnels to tell Connor and all the others about the article she had found. When she reached the furnace in front of where she first went into a tunnel she saw everyone already coming out.

        Noah looked back confused at the big steel door of the entrance"What is this doing here? I kept a close eye on the progress of this building and there was nothing like this."

        "Yeah it's pretty weird isen't it?" Maria said stepping out.

        "More like freaky to me." Jannah said

        "Guys! guys!" Fiona called as she ran over" I need to show you something important i found."

        "What, is it something like the tunnels?" Jannah said "if it is, how much are you hiding from us besides that?"

        "No, no it's not. I just found it today"

        "Well Fiona, we also found something"Connor said handing Fiona a scrap of paper with a code on it.

        "What's this?" Fiona looked at it and read it out loud"'Fi-wi-urn-htly 18,20,13,18,8'. Hmm...... what could this mean?"

        "Well, I was hoping you might know"

        "Well, I think it looks like that code Madame had on the letter, so I think we could try using that code or something like it anyway" Fiona then snapped into attention and said " Oh, yes! specking of Madame, I need to tell you about something I found"

        "yea?" Noah said "what is it?"

        "Well, when you went to grab me for the meeting I found this article talking about the only survivor of a plane crash, I needed to go back to read it"

        "So, that's why you left? For a stupid article!" Jannah said using her hands for emphasis, spreading them wide apart

        "Well, I saw a message on the side of the cave wall, it said 'remember the article' I just had to read it after finding that, besides I've had this weird feeling it's really important, and it is!" Fiona then stopped talking for a second and looked at her feet, when she looked up again she said "Jannah, you seem really............. mad, at me. Look i-i'm sorry about the whole lying thing I Really am"

        Jannah looked angrily away and then Fiona continued "Well............ at the ending of the article it said....................Madame Deana"

        Everyone starred in silence for a moment in till Ross said " Oh, really?"

        "Yes, really" Fiona replied -_-

        Next time on The Powers:

Dan returns back to the headquarters with his information and is promoted for a job well done. How will he deal with what happened? Will he tell? will he get away with it?

Everyone continues on trying to find clues in the tunnels after splitting up.
